A glance at Tel Aviv

Yesterday I enjoyed wandering around the little shops on Allenby street , then as the sun was setting , I settled my head in a warm coffee shop to enjoy a hot drink and light snack among the colorful Tel Avians as they sat quietly reading newspapers or chatting with friends, I enjoyed watching some tourists at a nearby table excitingly rummage through their shopping bags checking and showing each other the bargains they found in the colorful shops of Allenby street. Such a pleasurable atmosphere, a welcome tasty break from the electrifying hustle and bustle of Tel Aviv with its trains, buses, moniot sherut, busy with families on family trips, seeking their jewish heritage or just having fun, there is always something for everyone!

The check in at the airport for the return flight to Eilat was entertaining with a jolly group of Haredi Jews singing and playing music to wish all passengers a happy Chanukah.
Soon I was heading home to Eilat, flying over the Dead Sea, and across the Arava Desert leaving Tel Aviv and Jerusalem behind. Fortunate enough to have a window seat I could see streets lights twinkling below, reminding me of the flickering candles of Chanukah and the Miracle of the lights. Also bringing to mind the Twinkling lights of a Christmas tree.

On those happy thoughts We wish our Jewish readers a happy Chanukah . And to our Christians readers a joyful moment adorning the tree as it is almost the twelfth day before Christmas.

To all our readers of all beliefs from  Jerusalem to The Galilee to the Dead Sea, Red Sea or far from the Atlantic Ocean, Pacific Ocean and all continents anywhere you may be have a very pleasant weekend!
